I do not see where you mentioned your Printer Model or Operating System/version.

If you did, I may have missed it, or your message failed to include that information.

-- Answer --

Yes.  There are choices for printing photos.

What you want to use, choose to use, can be used, depends on your printer model and -- importantly -- your Operating System / version.

The results you seek (want, require) dictate which application or software are best for the task.

For example

Old photos, originally taken at low density, perhaps damaged by time and storage, might be best printed using a full Photo Editing and Print software to obtain "best can be done" results.

Photos taken (and stored) with a modern iPhone are made for viewing and printing -- most print applications might produce decent to excellent results.

-- Windows --

A supported printer and a supported version of Windows generally supports a variety of photo printing and photo editing / printing applications and software.

Partial List

  • HP Smart / HP App
  • Irfanview (Free Third Party Software)
  • Microsoft Photos
  • Paint
  • Print Pictures (formally Windows Photo Viewer)
  • With the full driver printer software installed  → Images embedded in Word documents, Photos in a PDF format file (Adobe Reader)

-- Apple --

  • Apple's Photos app
  • HP App
