HP Photosmart 7525 e-All-in-One Printer

I have an HP Photosmart 7525 that will not connect to Web Services. I have tried all of the fixes in the article, and I have confirmed that it is not on the article listing discontinued printers that no longer support Web Services. List of things I have tried:
Updating firmware. (already at latest 1830A)
Changing dns to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1
Resetting to factory defaults
Checking network settings (they're fine)

Could someone help me, or at least tell me if web services have been discontinued for this model? If they have, is there a fan recreation of them somewhere?

Hi @redlarr,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you're facing issues connecting your HP Photosmart 7525 printer to Web Services, here’s a professional summary of possible troubleshooting steps to help resolve the matter.

Although the HP Photosmart 7525 is a discontinued model, there is no confirmed information suggesting that Web Services have been discontinued for it. Given that you’ve already tried firmware updates, DNS adjustments, factory resets, and verified network settings, here are some additional techniques you can explore:

Disabling and Re-enabling Web Services: Use the HP ePrint icon on the printer's control panel to disable Web Services temporarily. After a few minutes, re-enable it by following the same steps.

Assigning a Manual IP Address and DNS Servers: Access the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) through its IP address, which you can find by pressing the wireless icon on the printer. Once in the EWS, assign manual DNS servers using Google’s public DNS (Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8; Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4).

Checking Firmware Updates: Ensure that the printer's firmware version is ELM1CN1607AR or higher. Firmware updates might help fix connectivity issues.

Restarting Network Devices: Power cycle your router and printer to clear potential network glitches.

Should these measures fail to resolve the issue, it may point to compatibility or hardware challenges. In such cases, reaching out to HP Support for expert guidance or further diagnostics is recommended.

I hope you find these suggestions helpful in reconnecting your printer to Web Services. If you need additional assistance, feel free to ask!
