Hi @Dix23,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Photosmart B010, Error 0xC19a0020. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Try the steps recommended below.

Let's perform a power drain:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove the USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Update the printer firmware

Reseat the printhead up to three times

Sometimes error messages persist after inserting the printhead. To clear any error messages, reseat the printhead by repeating all steps in this solution up to three times.

Thanks Gaya,

for your feedback.

Your reset proposals did not work.

Careful cleaning did not work.

Optical inspection did not indicate any issue on printhead.

Error now displays:' missing printhead', then 'adjust printhead'.

Same on old cartridge, wich was replaced due to low contrast.

The hidden service menue, which is entered by reset, then pressing&holding the PWR switch, cannot be entered any more.

How to continue ?

Any hardware reset without pressing buttons ?

Where to find a service manual ?

Thanks for any hints.
