Hi,
We were just received a Windows 10 PC. We would like to use our HP Photosmart Premium C309G-M printer / scanner with this PC. The printer driver (built into Windows 10) works great. However, on our othe rWindows 10 PCs, we use HP Solution Center to do the scanning. However, HP Solution Center is no longer available for download.
How do I get access to the scanning capability of this device?
I saw the "EPrint" software download and I'm not sure if this would offer the functionality, but I do not want my devices readily available to the Internet.
Can I download an archived version of HP Solution Center? Is there some other desktop software available that will give me access to the scanner?
Thanks,
Dale

Hi @Euchre_Dad,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Do not worry, I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are facing issues with the scan.
Here are two other compatible scanning apps, which can be used to scan your photo or document:
1. HP Scan Extended: You can Download-Save-Install > HP Scan Extended
○ If the link above does not work, copy and paste the ftp address below into your browser: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Or--
2. HP Scan and Capture: You can download and Install HP Scan and Capture app from Microsoft store. Here is the link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store
For more information on how to use this app, refer: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04675206
NOTE: You must have the HP printer driver software installed on the computer to use these apps. If you did not uninstall HP Printer driver software, then you should have it already.
OPTIONAL: Add HP Scan Extended shortcut to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start
• Open File Explorer > Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Scan Extended\bin
• Right-Click exe > Select Pin to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start
HP Scan Extended features include (and are not limited to): Single, Multiple scans, Image and PDF scans, Email as PDF / JPEG, Source selection, Page Size choices include Auto-Detect (extracts image / document boundary). May include OCR (Save as Editable Text).
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi Elohi,
Thank you for your response. I downloaded & installed HP Scan Extended. After installation I ran the program and it gave me the error message: "The imaging device was not found."
When I downloaded the HP Scan and Capture app, it told me the device was not found. Even after I did a manual search using the printer's IP address, it still did not find it.
The printer itself is working fine, I just cannot scan from this particular Windows 10 PC.
I appreciate any help you can give.
