After upgrading my iOS devices to iOS 17, I can no longer find my Samsung SL-M2885 printer via Airprint. (Currently running iOS 17.1.2.) Apparently this has happened to many different printers. Apparently, for some printer models connectivity has been restored by updating the printer's firmware to the latest version. This is not the case for the Samsung SL-M2885 printer. The printer has the latest available firmware installed V3.00.01.18 JUN-23-2020.
Are there plans to provide an firmware update for this printer, or am I left hoping that Apple will fix the problem on their end?
TIA!

This seems to be a known problem with iOS 17

When I upgraded to 17 I just had to re-find the printer, but I do not use AirPrint. My printer is hardwired ethernet to the router.
Your printer is listed as fully compatible with AirPrint
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201311
you should ask them to remove the listing or fix the problem.

Here's a solution that worked for me:
On a computer that is on the same network as your iOS device you need to have the latest version of the printer driver. I am currently running Samsung M288x Series driver version: 3.93 on macOS 14.2.1. (This solution didn't work with the previous driver version.)
Once you have the latest driver version and can print from you mac, you need to install "Mobility Print" from PaperCut on your computer, and set it up as described. (It's free.) Then you should be able to see the printer from the iOS device. YMMV.
Mobility Print is available for Windows, so this may also work if you have a Windows machine on your network.
