I had this working previously on the same machine, but I reinstalled the OS.

I'm on Pop!_OS 22.04 (matches Ubuntu).

 

I'm attempting to use simple-scan (Document Scanner) to scan from the document feeder on the printer.

I keep getting an error, but the printer will trigger the feeder.

 

If I use the flatbed, it's perfectly fine.

 

Any ideas on what I'm missing?

 

I installed via the hplip, hplip-gui (hp-setup and hp-plugin commands) libraries in the apt repo. version 3.21.12
