Suddenly started getting Pop-up Error Warning Dialog Boxes (PEWDB), saying, "HPDM.framework will damage your computer", and regardless if I selected Show In Finder, or, OK, the PEWDB would pop back up and continue to do so. Simultaneously, the printer stopped printing. The printer says it is out of paper, though the tray is full. I called Apple, who eventually blamed the issue on HP and my virus scanner, Total Av. After much time spent chatting with Total AV tech support, they blamed issue on HP. And of course, HP virtual assistant is a joke, and there appears to be zero live chat tech support for a home user out of warranty. I have a 2015 MacBook Pro with OS, Catalina 10.15.7. and an HP Envy Photo 7855.
I tried DL'ing the HP Easy Help software to re-install, but had numerous issues, including but not limited to printing a test page that was blank, despite having plenty of ink. HP has no options to provide realistic, live support for their products, so frustrating. I feel like a dope for having bought an HP printer! Any and all help appreciated, but in speaking to a local repair shop, they suggest never buying an HP, cutting my losses and buying an Epson. I'd love to not flush my money down the drain. Can anyone assist in this matter?

Try using the uninstaller and Easy Start in the instruction set below:
Use the HP Uninstaller: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02440673
If you still have a folder marked HP, delete it (likely in your "Libraries" folder(s).
Use Easy Start (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-easy-start/7376041 - make sure your OS is correct) and see if your printer is supported. If not, or if that doesn't fix the issue, move on to the next steps.
Uninstall your printer USING THIS METHOD ONLY (NOT EASY START, NOT EASY ADMIN): Apple Logo (Upper Left of Screen)/System Preferences/Printers & Scanners. Then restart your computer.
Download (and install) this package (From HP FTP) which will update drivers AND THE CERTIFICATE:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-essen... If the link comes up blank, try right/control clicking and saving it. Or right/control click and copy link, and paste into browser bar. If you get the malware warning part-way through the installation, go to System Preferences>Security & Privacy where you can tick a box and unblock the HP option.
The install takes a bit. Let it run, even if it seems like it stalled out! When it completes, restart.
Then reinstall your printer using: Apple Logo (Upper Left of Screen)/System Preferences/Printers & Scanners, and use the default drivers. If drivers do not show up, download and install the 5.1 driver package from here: https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1888?locale=en_US . Then restart your computer.
