I have a LaserJet1020 printer with 220-240v power that I brought to the US from Europe. It is 50/60 Hz.  Can I use it in the US with an adapter?  If so, what adapter should I use?

Thanks.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let me know if this helps: Make sure your power source is adequate for the product voltage rating. The voltage rating is on the product label. The product uses either 110-127 Vac or 220-240 Vac and 50/60 Hz. Connect the power cord between the product and a grounded AC outlet. CAUTION: To prevent damage to the product, use only the power cord that is provided with the product.

Thanks for this.  I've ordered a step-down converter which I was advised on your helpline to get.  But I see p.74 says 'don't convert the voltage'.  Any thoughts?

This information is mentioned in the user guide. I would recommend sticking by that.
