HP OfficeJet 250 Color Inkjet All-In-One Mobile Printer (CZ992A)

Hi, I travel in Europe quite a bit and need a mobile printer.  I intend to purchase an HP OfficeJet 250 Color Inkjet All-In-One Mobile Printer (CZ992A) but I want to make sure that I can purchase the correct power adapter for a 240v outlet.  Can anyone recommend an adapter that I can purchase that is compatible with this printer?

The power adapter for this product is internal. Looking at the user guide shows that the device connects directly to the wall with a power cord. I would say with 90% assurance that this device has a universal power supply that will work as long as you have the right cord, with no transformer required.

This is the actual power supply used in the Mobile 250 series

Also note that you can charge the printer using a USB cable attached to your computer as per the user manual.

From its specs

        https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05169553#AbT11

You can use household power: Input voltage: 100 to 240 VAC, 50 to 60 Hz; 200 to 240 VAC, 50 to 60 Hz

Thank you. But the specs on the US site say that the power is not dual voltage.

Specifically, under the Power section it says:  “Not dual voltage, power supply varies by part number with # Option code identifier.”

That means you have to use a transformer then. Few years back, I had to buy 1000W transformer for a loan HP Laser printer. I wanted 1000W because I wife also needed a transformer her rice cooker which se bought in Japan.

In your case, buying a new printer would be cheaper.

According to the published data sheet, the power adapter is built in and is universal voltage.

Thank you, I found this confusing as well and would appreciate feedback from an HP representative.

Hopefully HP can straighten this out. A search on their part surfer site shows a part number of F0V63-60013 or F0V63-60012 for the power supply. Both of these power supplies are labelled as 100-240Volt capable. If that is the case you would only need either a plug adapter or a power cord for the location you are travelling to.

Yes, but not all power adapters are compatible with all their products, I have been reaching out through the website in reference to certain power supply options and have gotten no guidance on which power supply I can use with this printer for 240 voltage!

This was from HP and NOT HELPFUL:

Thank  you for your question! All HP power adapters are compatible worldwide and are compatible with a range of Input voltage: 100 to 240 VAC. A power converter for the country you are in may be required as this is designed to work with US plug standards.
