HP Pavilion p6-2330 Desktop PC

Hello,

 

I have tried hooking up 2 different printers that work on other computers, to my HP Pavilion p6-2330 Desktop PC. One is a Dell and the other is an Epson. Both of them say there is a problem with the print driver. I have tried many online solutions of resetting the spool, uninstalling/reinstalling, and downloading new drivers/clearing old ones. Nothing has worked. The Epson has wireless capabilities that work, but where I am located I need a wired printer, and both will not work when wired.

 

Can anyone help?

Part of (maybe most of) the problem might be that you are running Windows 10 on a computer for which there are no HP software and drivers for Windows 10.

 

Without specific drivers / software to support the particular HP hardware and installed OS, you are depending on the Windows Operating System drivers to fill in all the blanks.  In some cases, this is enough.

 

Not at all sure about a Dell or Epson print driver - most printer software does provide pretty much what it needs... That said, software that is seemingly "self-contained" is not always completely independent.

 

There might be more blanks than Windows 10 drivers / software to fill them.

 

You need a newer computer, I think.

OR

You  mentioned "other computers" - snag one of those that work and give the p6 to the unlucky user.
