Hi @ОМ75,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Update the HP Smart App

Ensure your HP Smart app is up to date.

  • Open the app store on your device.
  • Search for HP Smart.
  • If an update is available, click Update. If only Open displays, the app is up to date.

2. Ensure the Printer is Ready for Setup

Check the printer for any remaining packing materials and ensure it is powered on.

  • Remove packing materials and tape from the printer, including inside the cartridge access door and paper tray.
  • Turn the printer off and then on again.
  • Return to the HP Smart app error window and click Try Again.

3. Restore Printer Factory Defaults

Restoring factory defaults can resolve setup issues.

  • Open the HP Smart app or use the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS).
  • In the HP Smart app, click your printer image to access settings, then select Advanced Settings.
  • In the EWS, use the printer’s IP address to open its web page, go to the Settings or System tab.
  • Log in using the username admin and enter the printer PIN (found on the printer label inside the cartridge access area).

Restore factory defaults:

  • For most HP printers: Select Restore Factory Defaults.
  • For HP LaserJet printers: Go to Service, then Restore Defaults.

4. Remove and Re-add the Printer in the HP Smart App

Fix HP Smart app connectivity issues.

Close and re-open the HP Smart app.

Turn the printer off and then on again.

On the app home screen, hide the printer:

  • Right-click or long-press the printer name, select Hide Printer or Forget Printer.

Search for the printer and re-add it:

  • Click Add Printer or the plus sign (Add Printer Icon).
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect and set up the printer.

I hope this helps.
