Dell Inspiron
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello: I have no problems printing, everything is up to date, and everything is working properly, however, I'm unable to use the *PRINT PREVIEW* option. I used to use it all the time before I got this particular printer and it wastes a ton of paper because I can no longer view what pages to print. Oddly enough, when I print from my iPhone, I have this option. It only happens when i'm on my Dell Inspiron. I use FireFox if that matters. Thanks for your help! ~Sharon

@ChefSharon, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Print preview is application-specific and is not controlled by the printer.
  • Have you tried using Google Chrome and check if the issue persists?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF or Word and check if the issue persists?

Try using the printer driver to print

Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you. I have done all of these things and I already have the printer driver installed. None of these things allow a print preview. What now?

@ChefSharon

Did you try using Google chrome and try printing a Word or PDF document to check if the print preview is available?

Keep me posted.

I didn't use Google Chrome, but I used other browsers, all with the same results.

@ChefSharon

Let us install the printer using Windows built-in driver

Refer to this document to know how. Try printing different types of documents.

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support in your region for a one on one remote session for better assistance.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Thank you. This is how my printer is already set up.
