In HP Print and Scan Doctor 5.7.1, I click Start. P&SD searches for products, then I see, Step 1 Choose Your Product, in which I am asked to "Choose Your Product." Well, I have only one printer, but somehow I have two choices!! Both choices are HP3473D1 (HP Envy7640 series). But one is labeled FE80::B25A:DAFF:FE34:73D2 and the other is labeled fe80::b25a:daff:fe34:73d2. (Yes, the same alphanumerics, but one is all caps and the other is all lower case.) Each one has a check-mark saying each is installed.
What should I do? Delete one of these? If so, which one? How is that done?
Don't know if this is pertinent, but this printer can take two or three minutes to start printing, and then works at normal speed.

Check the driver associated with each printer. Often Windows will self install an identical printer but use the Microsoft Windows driver which does not always work.
On your computer: go to control panel>devices and printers and then right click on the printer icon and select printer properties from the drop down menu. Click on the advanced tab and the driver type will be displayed.

Thank you. It never occurred to me that there could be two drivers for the same printer. Once I realized that, and with your directions, I deleted the driver from Microsoft and kept the one from HP. Printer is now working great.
By the way, HP Print and Scan Doctor, which has helped me often, didn't find this problem.
By the way, since I have a Windows 11 computer, instead of "control panel>devices and ...", I went to Settings>Bluetooth & devices>Printers & scanners, and then I could dig out the info I needed and make the changes I needed.
Again, thanks.
