Ok, Jeet you are going to be so proud of me. I have it printing now. I kept at it and found a place that said to shut off and turn back on my printer so I did then it said to turn off web services on printer then turn back on and I would receive a code. Did that I received the code and then went into HP Connected got it all taken care of there then I was able to add the printer to cloud services and like I said it did print. Hopefully, it will print all the time now. I did put on people that will be allowed to print from my printer.
Thank you for all your help and I will probably be on here a lot.

Hi @Harv13,
Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!
I see that you are having issues while printing to your OfficeJet from your Chromebook. I would like to help 🙂
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Could you provide me with the exact model of the Printer? Use this link to find it: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
We can easily print from the Chromebook by adding your printer as a Cloud ready printer. Follow the steps below:
- First, make sure the printer is connected to your wireless network. If not already connected, follow the steps below:
Turn on the printer, if it is not already turned on.
On the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon
.
The Wireless Summary screen appears.
Touch Settings, and then touch Wireless Setup Wizard.
Follow the instructions on the control panel to connect the printer to your wireless network.
- Now, we need to setup the cloud ready printer to your Chromebook.
- Turn on your printer.
- On your PC, open the Chrome browser.
- At the top right, click More
Settings.
- At the bottom, click Advanced.
- Under "Printing," click Google Cloud Print.
- Click Manage Cloud Print devices.
- If prompted, sign in with your Google Account.
- Select the printers you want to connect, and then click Add printer(s).
The printer is now associated with your Google Account and connected to Google Cloud Print. You can print to this printer from any device where you're signed in to your Google Account.
Now, you can easily print from your Chromebook using the Google cloud print. Check http://hp.care/2cYVMZ9 for detailed instructions.

Jeet, I finally got around to read your comment and to try it out. The problem I have is when I go into HP Connect it asks for a claim code and when I put in what they say is my claim code it says not acceptable. I put in the words and letters that is before @hpeprint. I do know it is registered. I went into the 3 dots and settings and under new device it says ;
So I am going to go into the instruction manual and see what it tells me. I go into HP Passport and it does show my printer. My printer is an HP Officejet Pro 8600. I know it is old but it has worked great. I guess what I don't understand is all day Saturday it worked great then Sunday I went to print and nothing. My granddaughter needed a paper for today and she couldn't print this morning. I did listen to the videos which were very interesting.
I guess another question is I usually sign in with my MSN email do I have to sign in with Gmail email? Thank you for getting back to me and hopefully, I will return my response sooner this next time.
