I am triying to print from Word to a piece of paper that is half the size of a normal 8.5 by  11.  I don't see an option to feed from the document feeder.  (not where you load reems of paper).  My manual is generic for three different printers...

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

Update information for Custom Paper size - not needed when printer list includes the paper size.

I don't see any options in the manual for loading paper into the ADF for the purpose of printing on that paper.

From what I can tell, Custom paper, when supported for size, type, AND weight, should be loaded into Tray 1, Tray 2, or Tray 3 -- select the Tray # as the Source in your printing software.

If you are not sure, I'd try Tray 1 -- it holds envelopes, it will likely hold "half-size" paper.

If exactly half, you do not need to mess around with custom, simply select either statement or memo as the paper size
