Hello,

I'm currently using a trick to copy and print documents (sending them directly to another IP address obviously doesn't work).
On an OfficeJet Pro 8020 I send the scan to the email address of my LaserJet Pro M252.
That works so far.
However, an information page will still be printed out from where the printout was sent. How can I suppress this last page from printing?

Thanks and greetings
Markus

Hi @MarkusDippold,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To suppress the extra information page printed by your HP LaserJet Pro M252 when receiving an email print job, follow these steps.

Disable Job Storage and Notification Pages in Printer Settings

  • Access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):
    1. Find the IP address of your LaserJet Pro M252 by printing a network configuration page or checking the printer's control panel.
    2. Open a web browser on a device connected to the same network and enter the printer's IP address.
  • Log in to the EWS with administrator credentials if prompted.
  • Navigate to Settings > Printer Settings or a similar section.
  • Look for options related to Job Storage or Notification Pages.
  • Disable any setting that generates job completion or email receipt pages.

Modify HP ePrint Preferences

If the printer is using HP ePrint services for receiving email jobs:

  • Go to HP Smart (formerly HP Connected).
  • Log in with the account associated with your printer.
  • Select your printer from the list of devices.
  • Under ePrint Preferences, look for options to suppress notification pages and disable them.

Check Print Configuration Settings

  • If using a print server or third-party service, check its settings for similar notification suppression options.

If you cannot locate these settings, the printer model might not allow disabling this feature natively. In such cases, you could consider filtering the incoming print jobs or using a custom script to manage job queues without triggering notification pages.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi @Alden4,

Well... first of all, thanks for the answer on New Year's Day.

There is nothing with this meaning in the printer settings. I clicked through all the menus and submenus.

The problem with HP Smart (website on the PC) is that the printers are not listed.
The printers are listed in the HP Smart app (identical login details of course), but I don't see any setting options for anything like that.

Also interesting again: I select "Manage HP account" (in German) from the app, a subpage appears in the app - and, as in the browser view on the PC, there are no printers listed either. I can't add printers here either.

is there a reason you simply do not print the document direct to the printer? I read your original post a couple of times trying to figure out the reason for what sounds like a convoluted method.

The printer with scanner (multifeed) is an inkjet printer, too expensive for use. The ink cartridges are nearly empty. The printer was 2 years not in use.

Ink is not waterproof.

The other one is a laser printer ...

I like to copy things without using a computer.

Actual I wouldn't sell the inkjet, only scrapping.

Thanks for taking the time to satisfy my curiosity. Makes complete sense. Not sure if Eprint has the option to disable the notifications.
