9015 All in one printer constantly trying to update itself.  Useless when trying to update.  If choose exit (OK).  It keeps trying

This is a problem on HP's side that only they can fix.  Until they can fix thier servers you will need to disable the automatic firmware updates:

Run the HP Smart application and choose "Printer Settings" which will take you to the embedded web GUI for the printer and then choose "SETTINGS" from the menu at the top.

On the left side click the + next to "Security" and choose "Administrator Settings"

Scroll all the way down to the bottom and uncheck both printer update boxes.

HP needs to acknowledge the issue or figure out what is going on. We both use this 9015 printer for our jobs and is a royal pain since this started. I'm enrolled in the subscription ink plan,so it will not let me turn off auto updates. I really hate to have to go buy a new printer.
