HP Officejet 7610 Wide AIO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

URGENT

For years it works well, the HP Officejet 7610 Wide Format, connected mit LAN-cable.

Since a few days, the Printer Assistant dont open. Without any message. Printing from app (Word e.g.) works.

Command:

   "C:\Program Files\HP\HP Officejet 7610 series\Bin\HP Officejet 7610 series.exe" -Start UDCDevicePage

Other Computers in the LAN work well, including Scanning with Printer Assistent.

There was no help from Support by phone call.

After my remove and reinstall the "Full Function Printer Assistant" (Driver)  - there is the same problem.

Maybe it comes from MS Security Update???

Maybe the same problem with other printers?

How to solve this problem?

Thanks! H-P-Fritz

@H-P-Fritz, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to open the HP Printer Assistant. Let us try these steps:

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

Perform a clean reinstallation of pre-installed HP drivers

  1.  In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
  2.  Select your HP Printer
  3.  Select Uninstall
  4.  In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
  5.  In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
  6.  Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
  7.  Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
  8.  Click on the “Drivers” tab
  9.  Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
  10.  Select Ok
  11.  Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
  12.  Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.

Click here to download the HP Full-feature driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello Kumar0307

Many thanks. Your info helped. But read to the end.

1. In my discription, I wrote, that I made all the steps you told me.

2. According your info, I started the "HP Print and Scan Doctor" once more.

Now the Printer Assistant starts. I think, all ist OK.

But remark: Since the error came, I made

   - all the things written before

   - all the new Windows Updates, also to Windows 10 21H1

   - and a new install of HP Support Assistant (incl. Scan Doctor)

Anyway, after Print and Scan Doctor, the problem is solved.

Thanks a lot again.

There is another problem with smaller printing with the function automatically doubleside. i will open another post.

Kind regards  H-P-Fritz
