Printer Deskjet 3700 series not operating on MacOS 10.14 (Mojave)
Printer works randomly and scanner is inaccessible both by AirPrint and via USB.
I've tried installing HP Smart, reinitializing MacOS printing system, followed all the support pages on the HP website, nothing worked...
I'm looking for some tips to try to solve this as soon as possible.

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support community!
- Do you have blinking lights or any alerts on the printer?
- Are you able to make a copy?
Let's try these steps:
Step 1: Power Reset
- Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector.
- Turn the printer on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait at least 60 seconds
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Try to print and scan and check if it works.
- If the issue persists, proceed to the next step
Step 2: Remove and re-add the printer:
- Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.
- Click Printers & Scanners or Print & Scan.
- If your printer is listed, click the name of your printer, then click the minus sign
to delete the printer.
- Click the plus sign
, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer.
- Click the Use or Print Using menu, then select the name of your printer.
( For printers connected on Wireless select AirPrint or Secure Airprint)
- Click Add to add the printer to the list.
- Try to print and scan and check if it works.
Let me know if this helps.
