Printer Driver provides an option to print "Selection" - when attempting to print only a section of a webpage the driver prints the entire webpage - so it does not work. My product is HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e and could not be selected from "my profile/products" despite being registered for use.

I understand your concern, don’t worry let me help you with this. 

Could you kindly confirm the below details :  

Are you printing from a specific browser (like Chrome, Edge, or Firefox), or does this happen across all browsers?

Do you notice the same behaviour when printing from other applications (like Word or PDF viewers), or is it only with webpages?
Also if you kindly share a picture to understand the exact scenario ?

 

Here are a few  steps you can try :

Use HP App: Try printing via the HP app, which often handles webpage selections more reliably.

Test with another browser: Sometimes the “Selection” option works differently depending on the browser.

Check print dialog: Ensure that the “Selection” option is chosen in the browser’s print dialog before sending the job to the printer.

I was using the HP Printer App 26.2.0.3878 App ID 6CBAE950-2 to scan a document and print it. The app allows only the selection of PAGES on the left-hand side, but not SELECTION within the document for a specific block of material (text or graphic). In the scanned document, the app scanned the entire 5 page 8 1/2x11 pages, and I only wanted to print a specific portion of one page, and save the scanned file as a PDF. The "Selection" option was active before executing print. 

Another related item, this printer will print duplex, but there is no selection for duplex printing on the HP App, there is on Word (with turn on short and long edge options).
