I received Fatal Error message about 10 times when I tried to download the driver for LaserJet Pro 200M251nw printer on my Laptop

If you're receiving a fatal error when attempting to download or install the driver for your HP LaserJet Pro 200 M251nw, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Download the Correct Driver

Ensure that you're downloading the correct driver for your operating system from the HP Support website:

  1. Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.Enter "LaserJet Pro 200 M251nw" in the search bar.
  2. Select your operating system from the drop-down menu.Download the latest driver for your printer.

2. Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

HP provides a tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor that can help diagnose and fix many printing and scanning issues:

  1. Download and install the HP Print and Scan Doctor.Run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix the problem.

3. Clear Previous Driver Installations

Sometimes, remnants of previous driver installations can cause issues:

  1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.Look for any HP printer software and uninstall it.Restart your computer.

4. Disable Antivirus and Firewall Temporarily

  2. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.Click on "Add a printer" and choose "Add a local printer".
  3. Select "Use an existing port" and choose the appropriate port.
