Your printer uses the same driver as the "8710" -- the model series is the same.

You are welcome.

For the record, "shared" driver setup within a given printer series is not obvious - thanks for asking the question.  The information will likely help others wondering about the same thing.  :generic:

Hi , I as MANY others suddenly were unable to PRINT IN COLOR. This was rather confusing as we had been printing B/W and Color since date of purchase in May 2018. At first I installed as local to Secondary WS, then moved it to Primary WS, then finally had 3 WSs printing to the Networked 8715. All was well.  On the weekend of May 4th ,  I had to move the entire operation and install on New WS. Right off the start Printer could not be found.  When I finally got it to print all it would print was B/W until  until May 7th at 8PM.  ALL Blogs and HP references led me down the wrong trail. After repeated installs as Direct LPT1, USB Wireless, and Network via router  ALL "Solutions" were failing.  I decided to throw everything at 8715 after uninstalling ALL printersand  assigning a Genric Text Ptr while under Admin NOT New USER Login.

I installed off CD and when it asked me to confirm connect I did and while it was installing I pulled the USB cord and SW came back asking me to do a Wireless USB connect. I did run that and after it installed I decided to reinstall as a wireless printer and again it asked me to attach the USB cable, I did. I  was able to print a Dr Scan Print test but nothing else. So now I decided to Connect the Ehternet cable which has to be a USB 3.0 NOT USB 2.0, chnaged the default IP settings, restarted the printer and noticed that under User BW is Only Default No Color. I went back to Admin login and noticed that It had color options. This led me to ACL for Printer and noticed USer had Admin and User So I removed User privileges on New User and restarted ptr. I logged in to New User Open a PPT Color File and with MY  Installtion Solution Not HPs I was finally able to Print in Color. It has remained as I set it now for two days or until May 10th.
