I have a new laptop. Old one was W10, everything worked fine. I have spent hours reading different forums, downing loading the driver multiple times, running the install multiple times. In a round about way I got the "hp scan" app to work so I can scan docs over the Wifi to my PC.
But when I go to print something and select printer, it only says "fax - officejet pro etc etc" and not just a regular print option. Says I need to install the driver. But I've downloaded that file from the HP website so many times and ran the wizard and it says complete, forwards me to the web page to register product and then... that's it, the cycle starts over. Can only print photos from flash drive.
I have no way to use this big expensive printer from a $1700 laptop. This is insane. Halp!!
