Product: HP Deskjet 2050

Just installed the update and my printer no longer works. I know the printer is getting up there in years, but I would like to make it work if I can. I tried to uninstall it and add it back, but it doesn't fully install. I get the error "Some of the software for the printer is missing. Please contact the printer‘s manufacturer for the latest compatible software." I tried searching for drivers using the website and couldn't find any that are compatible. The installer app and smart app didn't do anything either.

Hi,

Try following below version of the HP Easy Start Utility:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

As soon as you open HP Easy Start, click the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software...
Read any warnings that display, and then click Continue. When prompted, type your administrator user name and password and follow the steps on screen.
Click Set Up New Device, and then follow the instructions to reinstall your printer with HP Easy Start and let me know if that may resolve the problem.
