New setup and prints, scans...but printer is beeping? And next to the display is a '?'   I don't know what to do.  Please help.

  • Check for Error Messages: Look at the printer's display screen for any specific error messages or codes. These can provide more details about what might be causing the issue.
  • Check the Printer Manual: Refer to the printer's user manual for guidance on the beeping sound and the '?' symbol. The manual usually has a section dedicated to troubleshooting common issues.
  • Printer Status: Ensure that all printer components, such as the ink tanks, paper trays, and cartridges, are properly installed and not jammed. Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions.
  • Ink Levels: Verify that the ink tanks are properly filled and seated. Sometimes, the printer may beep if it detects low ink levels or if an ink tank is not installed correctly.
