Hi @Stlboomer,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting a beeping sound and the '?' symbol next to the display on your HP Smart Tank Plus 650 Wireless All-in-One printer typically indicate that the printer has detected an issue that needs attention. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot:
- Check for Error Messages: Look at the printer's display screen for any specific error messages or codes. These can provide more details about what might be causing the issue.
- Check the Printer Manual: Refer to the printer's user manual for guidance on the beeping sound and the '?' symbol. The manual usually has a section dedicated to troubleshooting common issues.
- Printer Status: Ensure that all printer components, such as the ink tanks, paper trays, and cartridges, are properly installed and not jammed. Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions.
- Ink Levels: Verify that the ink tanks are properly filled and seated. Sometimes, the printer may beep if it detects low ink levels or if an ink tank is not installed correctly.
- Network Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your WiFi network, especially if it is a wireless setup. Sometimes connection issues can cause unusual behavior.
- Reset the Printer: Try turning off the printer, waiting for a few minutes, and then turning it back on. This can sometimes clear minor errors or glitches.
- Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve various issues. Update the firmware on an HP printer
