The standard configurations on these models do not contain a harddrive, however they all could be outfitted with a hard drive as an option. It would install in an External IO port on the formatter and would be visible if you look where the network cable plugs in.

  • The Laserjet 9050 was equiped with a drive J6073-69031 40GB 4200RPM IDE Ultra ATA-100 2MB Cache 2.5-inch
  • The Color Laserjet 8550 could be equipped with theese drives :
C2985-60008 Hard Drive - 3.5GB EIO hard drive - LaserJet EIO font/print job storage
C2985-61031 Hard Drive - 3.5GB EIO hard drive - LaserJet EIO font/print job storage
C2986-61011 Hard Drive - 3.2GB hard drive (LaserJet)

But about the other two im not realy sure, if i remember correctly they could have a EIO card with disk drives on them.

I will stand by my statement on the 9050, Harddrive was an option on 9050 printers. If this was a 9050 MFP then yes it would have a hard drive. Original spec sheet 9050 https://objects.icecat.biz/objects/HP_literature_uk_en_4AA2-1824EEE.pdf

The 8550 had an option for Harddrive https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ecomcat/hpcatalog/specs/C7096A_acc.htm
