Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Last week I wanted to scan some pages from a book and the printer said there is paper stuck on the top part of the printer. After I somehow managed to solve that, the printer now says "supply problem" and just has "?" instead of how full the catridges still are. I think it also had a firmware update the week before. Is there any way to fix this? I use this printer fro university and it is just a year old now.

HP Recommended

Downgrade firmware. No other solution up to this moment. Or use only genuine original toner cartridges.
