HP ENVY 4525 All-in-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

Good Morning,

I moved from Germany to the United States and need to re-regionalize my HP Envy 4525 printer so that it can accept the new ink cartridges.

It is currently using Euro HP302 cartridges and I have the US HP63 cartridges to replace it.

I've seen some other support questions on this - so to answer the initial questions:

1) I have both the old and the new cartridges (whichever is. needed)

2) I have the USB cable to connect the printer to the computer

3) I have the HP Utility program installed on my computer that can connect to the printer and get information on the printer status (ink levels, test printer, clean printer, etc.) - but I am not sure if this program is the 'full suite software'

Thank you in advance for the help

Hi @europrinter,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I understand you moved and the printer is not accepting the new region cartridges.

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Yes" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping
