HP DeskJet 1112 Printer

I am setting up my printer to my Macbook Air 2020. I am using the HP Easy Start app and have reached the HP Product Improvement page. I selected for at home personal use, but there is a small box below it that needs filled in to move on. I am not sure what to put in this box to be able to move on.

Hi @kennadyomen,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding setting up your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

When using the HP Easy Start app for setting up your HP Deskjet printer, you may encounter a screen titled "HP Product Improvement." It appears that there is a section to enter additional information regarding the intended use of the printer. This box is usually for typing in a brief description or reason for selecting "At home personal use."

Here are some suggestions on what you might consider entering in the box:

  • "Personal printing needs such as documents and photos."
  • "General home office tasks and family use."
  • "Printing homework assignments and crafting projects."
  • "Regular personal use for printing recipes and household documents."

Choose a description that reflects how you intend to use the printer. There may not be a strict requirement on what to enter in this field, but filling it out correctly should allow you to proceed with the setup process. If you are still unsure or unable to proceed, make sure that you have filled all other necessary fields on the page.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍
