I am trying to finish the setup process for my printer. I have been prompted with the 'Find the printer PIN' popup. After entering my PIN i constantly get 'Invalid PIN code. Please try again.' Where do i go from here???

As the printer isn't registering, i am not receiving my ink refills. Please help!

Hi @Yorkieay,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Verify the PIN Code

  1. Locate PIN Code:
    • The PIN code is typically found on a sticker or leaflet included with the printer packaging.
    • If you cannot find the PIN, check the printer's information sheet or quick start guide provided in the box.

2. Ensure Correct Entry

  • Ensure that you are entering the PIN correctly. The PIN is case-sensitive and may include numbers and letters.
  • Avoid confusing characters that look similar, such as 'O' (capital letter o) and '0' (zero).

3. Hard Reset of Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on.

4. Reconfigure Wireless Network

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Network Setup or Internet Setup menu.
  • Restore the network settings to default by selecting Restore Network Settings.
  • Use the HP Smart app on your Windows 11 device to reconnect the printer to your wireless network.

5. Use HP Smart App

  • Download and install the HP Smart app from the Windows Store.
  • Open the HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
  • The app should guide you through the process of entering the PIN and connecting the printer to your network.

6. Update Printer Firmware

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

I hope this helps.
