Printer insists on printing at 2 pgs per sheet.  I have tried everything to get it to default to 1 page per sheet. I go into Printing Shortcuts, and choose General Everyday Printing from the list on the left.  It will print fine once, and then return to the 2 pgs per sheet setting.   How do I solve this?

Hi @jimspy

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that your HP printer is defaulting to print 2 pages per sheet and you wish to revert it to 1 page per sheet, you can follow these steps:

For Windows:

  1. Access Printer Properties:
  2. Open the Start menu and search for "Printers & Scanners".

Select your printer from the list and click on "Manage" or "Printing Preferences".

Modify Page Settings:

  1. Click on the "Finishing" tab.
  2. From the "Pages per sheet" drop-down list, select "1 page per sheet".
  3. Verify additional settings like "Print page borders", "Page order", and make necessary adjustments.
  4. Click "OK" to save changes and exit the dialog box.

For Mac OS X:

  1. Open Print Menu:

Click the "File" menu followed by "Print".

Adjust Layout:

  1. In the Printer menu, select your printer.
  2. Click on "Show Details" to expand more settings.
  3. Navigate to the "Layout" menu.
  4. From the "Pages per Sheet" drop-down list, select "1".
  5. Adjust layout direction and border preferences if needed.
  6. Click "Print".

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
