HP ENVY 4525 All-in-One Printer

Dear Community,
I am working with a HP All-in-One PC 24-dp1000i and a HP Envy 4525 All-in-One printer. Both devices have all the latest software, bios and driver updates installed and the ink cartiges are suffciently filled. All diagnostics tool were run and did not report a single issue - neither for the PC nor the printer!

My issues is that it won't print in colour (printing preferences are ok),, however, when I sent a print job from my Macbook it prints in colour.
Un- & reinstalled the printer and printed a test page: it came out in color.... yeah.

However when printing another file it came out in black/white... then printed another test page came out in black/white.

I am at a loss and thank you for your feedback!!!

On your PC, go to control panel>devices and printers and then right click on the icon for your printer and select printer properties from the drop down menu. Click on device settings and scroll down till you see device type and change from auto to color.

Thanks Repairatrooper for your feedback & suggestion!!!
My entries in the Device Setting are as shown below in the screenshot - obviously, there must be a different root cause as I dont even get to a possibility to change the device type.

I had uninstalled the printer and re-installed it. I am wondering whether or not it was completely uninstalled.

What do you suggest?
