I upgraded to latest HP mobile app and since then my printer is unable to connect to it. I have hp 2600 dealer printer

I understand how frustrating it is when your HP DeskJet 2600 printer suddenly stops connecting to the HP Smart mobile app, especially after an update that was supposed to improve things. Let’s walk through the steps to get your printer talking to the app again.

Steps to Reconnect HP DeskJet 2600 to HP Smart App After Update

1. Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode on the Printer

Your printer needs to be in Wi-Fi setup mode to reconnect:

  • Press and hold the Wireless button and Cancel button together for about 3 seconds.
  • Wait until the Wireless light starts blinking blue. This means it's ready to connect.

2. Reset the HP Smart App

Sometimes the app update causes cached data to interfere:


3. Reconnect the Printer

  • Make sure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to use.
  • Open the HP App and tap “+” to add a printer.
  • Select your DeskJet 2600 from the list.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.


4. Disable VPN or Firewall Temporarily

If you're using a VPN or firewall, it may block the connection:

  • Turn off VPN or any firewall apps temporarily during setup.


5. Use HP’s Troubleshooting Guide

If the printer still isn’t found: 👉HP printer not found by the HP app or operating system | HP® Support
