Hi @NK720,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ENVY Photo 7864 All-In-One Printer is stuck on the "Loading" screen and restarting hasn't resolved the issue, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot.
- Power Cycle the Printer: Ensure the printer is powered off completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and wait at least 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
- Reset the Printer: Some HP printers have a reset option that can be accessed through the menu settings or by pressing certain buttons on the printer. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.
- Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions: Even if the printer doesn't indicate a jam, open the printer's access panels and check for any stuck paper or other obstructions that might be preventing the printer from initializing properly.
- Update Printer Firmware: Outdated firmware can sometimes cause issues with printer functionality. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model on the HP support website and follow the instructions to update it.
- Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can try performing a factory reset on the printer. Be aware that this will reset all settings to their defaults, so you may need to set up the printer again afterwards. Instructions for performing a factory reset can usually be found in the printer's manual or on the HP support website.
By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot why your HP ENVY Photo 7864 printer is stuck on the "Loading" screen and hopefully resolve the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
