The short versions is that after a couple of Windows 11 updates, my HP laptop gave me an error saying there was a problem with the with printer settings when trying to print from Microsoft Word. When trying to print a test page from Printers, I got , sorry, I don't remember the error, but things I tried were to Remove the printer and re add it, remove the printer and the driver, and reinstall. Also restarted the print spooler. Turned off my Norton AntiVirus temporarily and tried reinstalling again. I tried plugged into USB and connecting over Wi-Fi. I keep getting "Driver is unavailable."
I call this printer circles because I have gone through HP website to HP Easy Start to HP Smart to Printers & Scanners and back to HP Easy Start, multiple times. I can give more info for each step if that is needed. Any help is appreciated!

Hi @CZShredd ,
Please install the next driver for your printer:
When you have the option to "Choose software and driver" select option "Full software and drivers"
* Click YES to say thank you,
* Click Accepted Solution when question is answered.
Best regards,
ferRX.

Thank you for replying.
If only I could get that far!
I initiate HP Easy Start.
It asks if it's ok for it to collect data.
It sees my printer I confirm that is it.
I enter the PIN.
It now says Activation Complete and offers me Instant Ink. I decline.
Searches for software.
Recommends HP Smart, which is already installed. This is the only option.
Then it opens HP Smart.
Everything looks fine until I click Print Documents.
It says it is not installed. I click the Install Printer button.
It spins for a bit. Then I get the "There was a problem during installation..." page.
I click the Printers & Scanners button and that page says that the "Driver is unavailable."
Do I need to uninstall my printer beyond just clicking Remove in the Printers & Scanners page? If so, how do I do that?
