Hi @Jvanzee,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When your printer indicates it cannot obtain the necessary information to finish setup, it might be encountering issues with connecting to your network or accessing the required services. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

Check Network Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. If you're using a wired connection, check that the Ethernet cable is securely plugged into both the printer and your router.

Restart Devices: Restart your printer, router, and any involved computers or mobile devices. This can resolve many connectivity issues.

Printer Drivers and Software: Make sure you have installed the latest drivers and software for your printer from the manufacturer's website. This is often crucial for completing the setup process.

Check Firewall Settings: Sometimes, firewall settings on your computer or network can block the communication needed to complete printer setup. Temporarily disable the firewall to see if this resolves the issue.

SSID and Password: Double-check the SSID (network name) and password you are using for your Wi-Fi connection. Typographical errors can prevent a successful connection.

Printer Location: Ensure that the printer is within a good range of your Wi-Fi router. Obstacles like walls can affect the signal strength.

IP Address Configuration: Verify that the printer is set to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP). You can usually find this setting in the printer's network setup options.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
