So I currently have a HP Officejet Pro 6978 that I am trying to print through the wireless network and airprint. My router gives off two network names and one ends in 5G. That is the one all my devices are connected to but it does not show up in the wireless setup for my printer. So your saying it should still work if I am connected to the network without the 5G? If not how do I set this up so t works correctly? Thanks in advance!

The Officejet 6978 only supports 2.4GHz wireless networks:
Wireless | 802.11 b/g/n – 2.4 GHz networks only |
Most routers with 5 GHz capability are dual band, and provide 2.4Ghz capability in addition to the 5GHz signals. I would suggest setting the printer up using the non-5G SSID, it should then be available to your other devices on the -5G side. If this does not work for you please post the model of your router and I can suggest if some settings in the router need to be changed.
