Hi @Sue19531,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for reaching out — I understand how inconvenient it is when your HP DeskJet 2700 series printer is connected to the internet but won’t print. Let’s walk through a few quick steps to get it working again.

1. Check Printer Status

  • Make sure the printer is turned on and not showing any error lights (like paper jam, low ink, etc.).
  • On the printer’s control panel, check if the Wi-Fi light is solid blue (indicating it’s connected).

2. Restart Everything

  • Restart your printerWi-Fi router, and computer or phone.
  • This can often resolve temporary communication issues.

3. Check the Print Queue

  • On your PC, go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your HP DeskJet 2700 → See what’s printing.
  • Cancel any stuck print jobs and try printing again.

4. Use HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • Make sure the printer shows as “Ready”.
  • Try printing a test page from the app.

5. Re-add the Printer

  • Go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners.
  • Remove the HP DeskJet 2700.
  • Click Add a printer or scanner and let Windows find it again.

6. Update Printer Firmware and Drivers

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
