Product: officejet pro 8620
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

Printer (officejet pro 8620) is creating wifi network despite Wifi configured to be "Off" and printer connected via ethernet cable.

Printer report states the "802.11 Wireless" Status as "Disabled"

How can this open wifi connection be turned off?

Any help much appreciated, TIA

Maybe it's printers wi-fi direct, turn it OFF.

Thanks Valsimot, Being a relative newbie thought turning printer Network WiFi to off turned all wifi off.

How wrong you can be! As you illuminated you also need to turn off the "HP Wireless Direct Settings"!
