Since I am running MAC OS Sonoma 14.6.1 my printer does not run anymore.

Printer Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M 183fw

Before your automatic update the printer was working perfectly. I would like to receive a downgrade of the printer driver to the system before your update in 2024.

Thank you for your help

Regards Peter

I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:

Uninstall the current driver:

  • Go to System Settings on your Mac.
  • Click on Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your Color LaserJet Pro MFP M183fw printer and click the minus (-) button to remove it.
  • Delete any installed software related to your printer by going to Applications and Utilities, then Printer Setup Utility, and removing the driver.

Download the old driver:

  • Go to the HP support website: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M183fw drivers.
  • Search for your printer model Color LaserJet Pro MFP M183fw.
  • You may select the operating system and the version of the OS

  • Follow the installation prompts to install the driver.

Re-add the printer:

  • Go back to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  • Click the plus (+) button to add your printer again, and make sure it’s selected with the newly installed driver.

Test the printer:

  • Try printing a test page to make sure everything is working.
