I have an hp LaserJet 1012 printer which is no longer supported. (No printer driver available on hp.com; nothing on 123.hp.com; no luck connecting it manually via USB; hpSmart failed to connect.)
I'm running MacOS Big Sur 11.1.
Can anyone help with a fix to get this printer working again?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
HP LaserJet 1012 printer driver for macOS 10.13 are not available from the HP website or Apple. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.
- NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
