HP Photosmart 2600 series
macOS 10.15 Catalina

My printer is old. It is the Photosmart 2600 series. Now that my Mac is updated to catalina OS 10.15.7 my printer does not work. I try and download drivers and they do not list that OS.

Hi,

Follow below link to uninstall any currently installed software:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06960563

Next, download and install below drivers:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?locale=en_US

Finally, connect the printer and add it under Printers & Scanners, be sure to select the printer model within the Use drop-down menu.

My wife's computer has Mac OS Big Sur 11.0.1. Is there a different download for that?

HP Recommended

Generally, no drivers for Big Sur are available for the printer at this time yet, it will likely take some time for older printers to get updated print drivers.

You may try installing the same package and see if it work, although it is officially supported up to Catalina.
