Product: hp photosmart C7280 All-in-one
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

#1 I have a Mac Computer and printer connected (Photosmart C7280 all in one).  #2 Purchased as cheap laptop for convenience to do education for work yesterday (Lenovo IDEAPAD).  Today when I go to use the Mac my printer is not working (stopped "filter failed'. Little blue dot with i in it says:

One or more components of the HP printing software are corrupted or missing. The print job cannot be completed. To fix this situation, HP recommends reinstalling the print driver software.  So I went to Hp and installed it for the mac and nothing has changed. Please help me. thx

The solution is to download (and install) this package which will update drivers AND THE CERTIFICATE:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-essen...

 

Easy Admin did nothing. Easy Startup did nothing. 5.1 drivers did nothing. This worked for me!

If the link comes up blank, try right clicking and saving it.

Easy Admin did nothing. Easy Startup did nothing. 5.1 drivers did nothing. This worked for me!
