HP Envy Photo 7855
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Prior to this issue, there was recently a Windows 10 update plus I installed 2 new XL ink cartridges. I am using a wireless system. When I ask for a print, the print window comes up, but the page(s) will not. It shows in red "Printer experienced unexpected configuration problem. Error code 0x8007007e. I tried to solve the issue by 1 of your recommendations: Leave printer on, remove cord from both printer & outlet & wait 60 seconds. Reinstall ink & try to print again. Same issue, except error code chaged from 0x80300113 to the one above. PLEASE, n someone help me????

Thank you,

Toni

@ToniMcK That's good, I'm glad the alternate browser works fine if you need anything else, feel free to write back to us,

And I must let you know that the agent is right, the issue with Edge should be resolved once Microsoft releases a patch or an update for the same, I'll forward the same information to the team and hopefully, they'll get an update soon (Although, I'm not sure when that would be, as I'll be sending out a feedback to their support team on your behalf, in fact, you could do the same: Click here for details)

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.

@ToniMcK Welcome to HP Forums Community!

I suggest you check if the copier is working fine as a stand-alone device if that isn't working either this could be a hardware malfunction,

If the copier works fine, here's what you need to do:

Check if printing PDF, Word or local documents work, also if you are printing via a browser, try an alternate browser and check if that works?

Meanwhile, Updating the printer firmware, installing the updated HP Drivers may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps:

At first, Let us run the HP Diagnostic tool

Click here to download HP Print and Scan Doctor.

Step 1: Reset the printer

1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

2. Wait at least 60 seconds.

3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Step 2: Update the printer firmware

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Step 3: Check for Windows Update

Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Step 4: Clean uninstallation of Pre-installed HP drivers

  1.  In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
  2.  Select your HP Printer
  3.  Select Uninstall
  4.  In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
  5.  In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
  6.  Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
  7.  Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
  8.  Click on the “Drivers” tab
  9.  Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
  10.  Select Ok
  11.  Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
  12.  Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.

Step 5: Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

Let me know how that pans out,

So, I have tried several recommendations on how to fix this issue, but none of them worked! Thank you all for your time & trouble. I finally contacted HP via a "chat" session, & the fellow could not get it to work at all. As a last resort, he said it must be the browser (Edge), so installed Chrome & now it works just fine! He said that perhaps when I get the next update from Microsoft, it could fix the problem!  Sure hope so!

I was going crazy trying to get my printer to print from my computer.  The printer would print a test page, it worked fine, but would not print any other thing I tried.  I finally tried installing a new browser and it worked first try!

Thank you so much!
