Help!! My printer is bricked

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

 

If your HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer seems bricked, follow these steps to try resolving the issue:

Reset the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the electrical outlet.
  3. Wait for about 60 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the electrical outlet.
  5. Turn on the printer.

Restore Printer Factory Defaults

To restore factory defaults using HP Smart App or an Internet browser:

  1. Open advanced settings:
    • HP Smart app: Click the image of your printer to open settings and management tools, then click Advanced Settings under settings.
    • Printer EWS: Open the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS) using the printer IP address.
  2. Restore factory settings:
    • From the EWS home page, click the Settings or System tab.
    • If prompted to log in or enter the printer PIN, enter admin for the username, and the PIN from the printer label.
    • Click Restore Factory Defaults or Factory under Restore Defaults, then click Restore Factory Defaults > Yes. Your printer should automatically restart after about 20 seconds.

Reinstall Printer Drivers

  1. Go to HP Software and Driver Downloads.
  2. Enter your printer model (HP ENVY 6055e).
  3. Download and install the recommended drivers for Windows 11.

Setup Printer using HP Smart App

  1. Download the HP Smart app from 123.hp.com.
  2. Install the app and follow the prompts to set up the printer.
  3. Try setting up the printer without any USB cables connected.

Check for Firmware Updates

Ensure your printer firmware is updated to the latest version available:

  1. Check for any printer firmware updates.
  2. Install updated firmware if available.

Thank you for your guidance, it worked like a charm. I narrowed it down to my main computer because my laptop and phones worked perfectly fine. I also used ya'll's diagnostic program too. Once again, Thank You.            Walt
