Model HP LaserJet M234sdwe Serial # VNB4J02471 Printer PIN 87150552.  The wireless status is off but I do have a blue light  on and it does print from a print button but not from contol p.  The i status light stays on.  I have inpluged it and repluged it to no avail.

Hi @DC3549,

Thank you for providing the printer details.

I understand that your HP LaserJet M234sdwe is showing the “i” information light, the wireless status is currently off, and you can print using the printer's physical print button but cannot print from Ctrl + P on your computer.

Please try the following:

  • Check the printer connection
  • Since the wireless status is off, make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • If needed, reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi using the HP app.

Remove and re-add the printer

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select the HP LaserJet M234sdwe and choose Remove.
  • Restart the computer and printer.
  • Add the printer again and try printing from Ctrl + P.

Set the HP printer as the default printer

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your HP LaserJet M234sdwe.
  • Choose Set as default.
  • Try printing again from the application.

Check the print queue

  • Open the printer's queue and make sure there are no stuck or paused print jobs.
  • Clear any pending jobs and try a new print job.

If the issue continues, please let us know whether the printer is connected to the computer through Wi-Fi or USB and what happens when you select the HP printer from the Ctrl + P print window. This will help us narrow down the issue.

Take care and have an amazing day! 🚀

Best regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi
