Product: Envy 4522

I have used generic ink cartridges in my Envy 4522 for a number of years but over the past few months, the printer has stopped working and the printer displays a message that relates to incompatible ink - has a firmware update meant I can no longer use the generic ink?  And if so, can I remove this update? Thanks

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Unfortunately you can't downgrade the firmware.
