I am trying to print a photo from my HP laptop using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 program. The printer keeps saying to load paper in the tray and that HP recommends ColorLok paper for best printing results. I have photo paper in the paper tray. Can you help me with this issue? The printing is printing documents from Word and Excel fine. Thanks.

Yeah, it really, really wants you to put HP paper in there. I'm not familiar with the Adobe program, and my printer is an HP Envy Phoro 6255, so I'm not sure how helpful I can be. If I understand correctly, you have photo paper in the regular paper tray instead of the photo tray? My photo tray will not take paper any larger than 5X7, so I basically have to use the regular paper tray if i wish to print photos larger than that (using photo paper)). However, I believe your model has trays that are supposed to accommodate media up to 8 1/2 by 14 inches. Have you tried to change the settings for paper type to "other photo paper"? Sorry, if this is too obvious. Unless the weight of the photo paper you're using is really weird, it should print. You could give it a try. Either it will go ahead and print, or insist your tray is empty and ask for HP paper. (I get this all the time trying to make mine print watercolor paper--it works as long as the gsm isn't too heavy, but it sometimes stops after a few copies as if it figured out I have weird paper in there, and it insists my tray is empty and asks for HP paper.)

Thanks for the suggestion and trying to help. I was using HP brochure glossy paper in the regular paper tray. The photo tray on mine sounds like yours and will not fit larger than a 5x7 photo. I am wondering if the weight is too light. I tried using heavier Epson photo paper and the image printed. You would think a printer would print if you had any kind of paper in it. Doesn't seem to be that way with HP printers.
