HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw

My printer keeps showing that the front door is open, only once I press down on the front of it does it work. I have tried to reset the printer multiple times but the error keeps displaying. I think something may be wrong with the sensors but I am not sure how to fix it.

Hi @thequickone,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

I see that your HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw Printer has a door sensor problem. I would be happy to help you!

This could be the result of a hardware problem (which would require a service)

However, before we come to that conclusion, let's update the firmware update  and

I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.

  1. Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
  2. Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
  3. Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet (don't use a power bar or a surge protector).

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
