After a year of use (Warranty ended August 2020), my printer started with a message "Stopped - Unable to Convert Postscript File.  I have already deleted the printer 3 times and whatever software I could find.  When I try to install again, it goes to last printer used and it doesn't show me a list of printers, so it installs the same thing.  Please help.  Thanks

@LEMITRANI, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

Make sure both the devices are up to date with its software.

Update the printer firmware

Go to Setup > Tools > Update the printer

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

If the issue occurs only while printing PDF files, which app are you using to print the PDF files, Adobe Reader or Preview app?

Check for updates on the Adobe Reader app or reinstall it.

Keep me posted.
